Talk to Qualimet about engineering, inspection or testing support

Contacting Qualimet doesn’t require already knowing which service fixes the problem. Whether it’s an inspection hold point stalling your schedule, an expired welder qualification or an audit with documentation shortfalls, Qualimet can help. We work within CWB-supported, ABSA-authorized and ISO 17020 and ISO 17025 accredited environments to determine the right path. That’s the difference from most firms, since you don’t need to name the discipline before Qualimet can help.

What are you trying to accomplish?

  • Obtain CWB certification.
  • Obtain ABSA authorization.
  • Qualify welders.
  • Schedule inspections.
  • Verify materials.
  • Develop welding procedures.
  • Discuss retained engineering.
  • Start a contracting business.
  • Prepare for an audit.

Not sure which of these fit? Let’s discuss your goals and find the right path for your project.

You don’t need to already know which service fixes it

Most clients don’t contact Qualimet because they need a report. They contact Qualimet because an inspection hold point is stalling a schedule, a welder’s qualification just expired or an audit is coming and the documentation has shortfalls. Some hold off contacting anyone because they assume they need to name the exact service first. Others assume Qualimet only takes on large projects, when the work ranges from a single welder qualification to enterprise-wide compliance programs. Others wait until the problem is fully defined, when earlier engagement is usually what prevents the delay in the first place. Meanwhile, the project keeps waiting on a call that could have started sooner.

One organization, every discipline you need

Most firms require you to identify which discipline owns your problem before they’ll engage. Qualimet doesn’t. Once you tell Qualimet what you’re facing, it connects to engineering, inspection, metallurgical testing, welder qualification, certification support or compliance governance, all through one organization. You don’t need to figure out the scope before reaching out, Qualimet helps determine it with you.

How the engagement works, once you reach out

  1. Tell Qualimet what you’re trying to accomplish: Share the problem as you understand it now, even if the exact service isn’t clear yet.
  2. Qualimet reviews your requirements: Drawings, audit findings, procedures, qualification records, specifications or inspection reports all help, if you have them ready.
  3. Qualimet determines the right path: Engineering, inspection, testing, qualification or certification support gets identified for your specific situation.
  4. Qualimet supports implementation, so your issue doesn’t stop at the first fix: Ongoing compliance support continues once the immediate issue is resolved.

Qualimet’s credentials

The guidance you get on the first call is backed by real credentials. We’re CWB-certified and hold an ABSA Certificate of Authorization. We’re also an APEGA permit holder, with P.Eng. registrations across six jurisdictions: British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario and the Yukon. We run our own in-house testing lab and have operated since 1973.

What earlier engagement actually changes

Reaching out while an issue is still taking shape gives Qualimet more room to help you avoid a bigger problem down the line. That means fewer delays, less rework and a compliance finding caught before it becomes an audit result. However you’d rather start, call, email, upload your project files or submit your requirements online, the channel doesn’t change how quickly Qualimet responds or how seriously your project gets taken.

Contacting Qualimet: common questions

Do we need to know exactly which service we need first?

No. Many clients contact Qualimet knowing the problem, not the fix. Share what you’re dealing with, whether it’s an inspection hold, an expiring qualification or a compliance gap. The right path gets identified from there, whether that’s engineering, inspection, testing, qualification or certification support.

Is our project too small or too complex for Qualimet?

Neither. Support ranges from a single welder qualification to enterprise-wide compliance programs, and from routine inspections to complex engineering challenges. If you’re managing fabrication, construction or operations and need help, reach out regardless of the project’s size or scope.

Should we wait until our issue is fully defined?

No. Earlier engagement generally prevents delays, rework and compliance findings later on. If you’re facing an audit, an expired qualification or an unresolved deficiency, reach out while the issue is still taking shape. That gives Qualimet more room to help you avoid a bigger problem down the line.

What should we have ready before we contact Qualimet?

Nothing is required before you reach out, but drawings, audit findings, procedures, qualification records, specifications or inspection reports all help the team understand your situation faster, if you have them. You can upload these documents directly when you submit your request.

Which areas of Canada does this cover?

Qualimet serves Alberta, British Columbia, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario and the Yukon. If your project or compliance issue sits in any of these provinces, reach out and the right support gets determined from there.

What’s the difference between calling and submitting a request online?

A call gets an immediate back-and-forth started on an urgent problem, useful when a schedule is already slipping. Submitting a request online works better when documents need to travel with the message, such as drawings or audit findings. Either channel reaches the same team and gets the same response speed, so the choice comes down to what’s actually more convenient for you right now.
